Pakistan Blog Awards 2011 | Special Guest Imran Khan

Pakistan Blog Awards 2011 held in Regent Plaza Hotel, Karachi. Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan was the special and surprise guest there with all his charm. He arrived in the hall and made everyone excited. 


Although many people in blogosphere are criticizing the results of Pakistan Blog Awards but overall it was a very nice and awesome event. All credit goes to Rabia Garib and CIO Pakistan's team, Google Pakistan' Badar Khushnood and all other sponsors especially Express Media Group who gave the attendee a very special USB. So people who couldn't win the award were happy to have a USB at least. :p

Google Map Up Event at IBA, Karachi

Google Map Up Event at IBA, Karachi

Google Pakistan organised a mapping workshop at Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi regarding Google Map Making. In which volunteers from all over the Karachi were invited. Advocates of Google Map Maker Jabran Rafique, Faraz Ahmed and Omer Sheikh presented about how Google Mapmaker works and how can everyone take their part to improve the map of Pakistan at Google Maps.

Google Maps, amongst commercial uses & benefits, have played a pivotal role in disaster rescue & relief activities in Pakistan. From Atta Abad lake to the last year's floods, MapMaker contributions saved numerous lives and helped expedite & mobilize loads of relief efforts/goods.
